Professor Mansoor Alaali has been the President of Ahlia University since 2015. He joined the University in 2009 after a long academic career. After graduating from the University of Teesside (UK), he gained his MSc in Computer Science and PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Knowledge-based Systems from the University of Aston in Birmingham (UK). Professor Mansoor’s research interest is applied computer science, data mining, algorithms, artificial intelligence, university governance and ethics. He has written numerous books and journal and conference articles. In 2022, Professor Mansoor authored the books, “COVID-19 Challenges to University Information Technology Governance” published by Springer and “Assessing University Governance and Policies in Relation to the COVID-19 Pandemic” published by IGI Global. Professor Mansoor is an editor and reviewer for several international refereed journals. He was a keynote speaker in different international conferences. He is also a member of numerous professional bodies. He delivered numerous workshops and seminars in technical and non-technical fields such as strategic planning and information technology. He developed technical solutions and provided professional consultancy services to several international and local organisations.
